Wonder Studio Fall 2019: Class Schedule and Registration
Fall Calendar Schedule 2019:
- All Classes are for children 18 mos. and Up accompanied by a loving caregiver.
- Wonder Studio fall classes are 12 week sessions (with the exception of our Spanish Infusion Wonder Studio which is 6 weeks)...Make ups are available during any Open Wonder Studio date on the Schedule. However, please choose a day/time that will allow you the most consistency in order to foster our community feeling.
- Wonder Studio Fall Classes are each one hour
- Wonder Studio is closed the entire week of Thanksgiving (11.25 - 11.29). Reminders will be sent.
Monday: 4pm - 5pm (Teacher Shannon) : September 9th - December 2nd
Tuesday: 9am - 10am and also 10:30-11:30 (Teacher Shannon): Sept. 10th-Dec.3rd
Wednesday: 10am-11am (Teacher Shannon): Sept. 11-Dec.4th
Thursday: 9am - 10am and 10:30 - 11:30 (Teacher Jamilee): Sept. 12-Dec.5
Friday: 10am - 11am (Teacher Amy): Sept. 13th-Dec.6
NEW**Saturday Spanish Infusion**: 9am-10am (Teacher Emili): October 5 - Nov.16

September – December Arts experiences will include various types of “arts” media including: clay, paint, color mixing, collage, construction, light/shadow, etc… This class emphasizes art that is child led and child produced.
September - December Science investigations will explore concepts of: “How Can I Make it Move? How Can I Make it Change? And How Does it Fit, or how do I Fit?” Experiences include: animal/insect observations and interactions, construction, water discovery, and other investigations designed to teach understanding and appreciation for the natural world.
The Wonder Studio offers experiences that are multi-sensory, “messy”, and open-ended. Each class includes a circle time with stories, songs, and puppetry. Learning experiences will be documented and reflected upon through the Wonder Studio blog at: http://thewonderstudio.blogspot.com
Cost: $340 for one 12 week session (All materials and supplies provided)

What is the Wonder Studio?
The wonder studio is a play place for the youngest learners. Children (ages 18 mos. and up) will participate in a broad range of developmentally appropriate experiences. These experiences include a loving parent or caregiver who is dedicated to joining his/her child in discovery and exploration.
At The Wonder Studio…children will have repeated scientific opportunities to strengthen their disposition for curiosity, creativity, and co-learning. Adults will gain an understanding of non-traditional approaches to chemistry, physics, biology, and ecology for the youngest children.
Children will discover the joys of working with one another through full-bodied arts investigations. Caregivers will develop an understanding for using the arts as a tool for thinking in guiding their young child’s development.
These classes are inspired by the pre-schools of Reggio-Emilia, Italy and the studio incorporates philosophies from Waldorf, Bev Bos, and Gardner’s theory of Multiple Intelligences.
