MASK POLICY
The Shorecrest Health and Safety Task Force regularly reviews the School’s COVID-19 health and safety policies in light of new information and changing CDC guidelines.
The below revised mask policy has been accepted by the Shorecrest Head of School and is effective immediately:
All Adults wearing masks indoors.
Children over age 3 are required to wear masks.
(If your child has difficulty wearing a mask, please don’t worry, it will work itself out, trust me!)
Masks can be removed outdoors. However, if you are not able to socially distance, please put mask on.
Adults please socially distance when possible.
I (Shannon) and Thursday teacher, Megan, are vaccinated and we will also be wearing a mask along with all of you.
Remember: We have successfully run Wonder Studio with masks on and it has proven safe and fun for all!
In addition:
Please don’t come to Wonder Studio if you feel sick or your child is sick.
We have many little babies, pregnant mothers, mothers/fathers at home with serious illnesses, grandparents who are not vaccinated, we are all trying to protect our loved ones and still live our best lives. This is one hour my friends. We can do this.
We can arrange a make-up class by looking at the Calendar of open dates and you can sub in one of those days.
Wash your hands as well as your child’s hands often, especially in between experiences.
Yes, some 2 year olds will be able to wear masks with ease. Fantastic!
But, for some, it will not work out through no fault of their own, or the parents fault.
Wonder Studio is a Judgement Free zone. I have said this for years, before pandemic, before politics...once we cross the threshold of Wonder, we leave judgement behind.
If for one hour in our days, we leave judgement of ourselves, each other, and most of all, our children, behind, it can make a huge difference in all of our lives.
One adult per child ONLY
Adults asked to space from other adults / children when possible.
Smaller Class sizes: 13 Students
Outdoors (one double door) always open
2 stations are always outside (under covering)
2-4 stations inside only to ease cleaning, distancing.
Circle time will be spaced out properly and children asked to not wander.
Disinfect
We will follow Shorecrest guidelines (link here: https://www.shorecrest.org/health for disinfecting as well as a nightly disinfecting fogger each evening.
New Policies to protect Wonder Studio small business:
No refunds for missed classes.
In the event of a government shutdown, classes remaining in a session will be continued through virtual Zoom platform and recorded videos made by Wonder Studio teachers. No refunds or credits given.
