A Pool of Flour...
Building with Magna-Tiles
Observing Earthworms
Pouring water down a funnel...
Hammering and making holes in paper...
Gluing... Painting...
But, it's not enough.
It's the people
at The Wonder Studio that make this a place of Learning, Inspiration, and a community.
When an adult/caregiver spends a dedicated hour with a child...the child feels important.
When a child spends time with other children...
He/She will see another child do something they've never seen before...then he learns that people are different.
She or he learns about ideas.
He can try out those ideas...
She can try to understand which ideas feel good and just as importantly...
Which ideas don't feel good.
It's the people that are the hidden gem at The Wonder Studio.
When the adults are genuinely curious and/or amazed by children's play, the child sees himself as strong.
Connections are the role of the adult at The Wonder Studio.
It can be overlooked in such a "rich" and stimulating environment.
We have a choice to sit back and disconnect or ...
Not.
I would like to challenge you to look for those moments of connection.
And Lightly, ever so lightly,
share them with your child.
